_{Ugh. This dude. So, normally I can finish an app within like a day or two if I work all day and mostly all night. However, that's when I have little issues. I continually ran into problems during the design and sketching process. Like. Five hours just trying to get something...for just about each form. It was ridiculous lol. But! He's done!!! Yay! Thank you to all the other mods for waiting and for selecting me~}

Basic

Shin was born in Tokyo, Japan 215 years ago. Unfortunately that life didn't last very long. No one died, but his mother and father decided that from a young age they wanted their son to be raised alongside other mythos like themselves. When he was just a baby the family moved to Sanctum to continue out their lives. His parents weren't anything too special; his mother did work under the Chancel helping to process paperwork, and his father was one of the many shop keepers on Sanctum. Growing up was interesting to say the least. While his parents did teach him proper etiquette from their home country as well as the language, things were fairly lenient. They made sure he was well versed in human and mythos history. At a young age he embraced the melting pot that was the Sanctum and realized his thirst for knowledge. He did his best to ask many questions.

Fortunately for him as he grew older his family began to take him through the doors to visit their home country. It definitely helped to learn more about humans by actually being around them. Shin viewed these trips like mini vacations considering they didn't happen all too often. It was a shame. As soon as he became of age the trips all but stopped. The training began about how to deal with his hunger that was no longer satiable by just people food alone. He adapted well enough and took to his fated form the most seeing as how it was comfortable and he quite liked how he looked. Things were pretty standard and boring and Shin found fun in reading human literature. Boy, did his life change once cinema made a big boom.

Shin lived in a world of fantasy every day of his life and eventually found it hard to consider the creepy things in the night to be scary. He found horror movies to be bland and even gory movies to be uninteresting. Not to mention those ridiculous teen romance movies about vampires and werewolves. They were simply laughable. However, as the decades continued to roll and roll he became more and more fascinated with humans and their technology and ways of thinking. Whatever spare time he had he dedicated to learning more about them. And honestly, his time as a Keeper had definitely fed this weird...obsession.

Now then... between the boring bits and messy bits of his life Shin discovered a seed that had been planted at a young age. Of course he had always found humans interesting in the back of his mind, but... he had also found the guardians of those humans to be much more interesting at a young age. It was the Keepers that came in and out of those magical doors that spurred the most questions out of him. It were those men and women that he admired. He wanted to be someone that protected the little humans too. Even though he didn't immediately enlist to be a Keeper when he came of age, he definitely had made up his mind. Once he joined he received a lovely young lady as his partner. Naturally, he was quick to research her species and even more speedy to ask her questions about herself. But the day they got their first mission to the human world was the day he would never stop being giddy about visiting and keeping those humans safe. Heck. He was his own fantasy novel, and he was going to write the most epic prose you could imagine. And you can bet your butt it was going to be better than those other ones.

It was a long and hard road with a lot of laughs and tears, but eventually he and Ai made it. They made it to be region leaders. Shin wasn't sure if he had always wanted this, but it was one of the highest honors. It was a position they held for years and one that he hoped they could continue to hold. It was as if being a leader was his dream to keep those safe and educate the younger generation manifested into reality. And damn...he still looked good.
